Armies of hooded beasts align and torch the temples
Echoes of history stabbed irrational
Industrialised lies manufactured from the ground
More emperors than crowns in the realm of ignorance

Stars align in a construct of fear

Candles burn in the light, anger smolders
Eyes sewn shut, hands bound in prayer
Knees sore, tongues pouring flies
Heads numbed, cradled in a soothing dream
